Kevin Barnes
Managing Partner Operations Professional Services

Mr. Barnes, one of the founders of eCube Systems, has been in the software industry for over 30 years. A graduate of Texas A&M with a Computing Science degree, Mr. Barnes has held a broad array of positions: project manager, lead systems programmer, systems manager, integrator, distributed computing analyst and middleware engineer.

During his career, Mr. Barnes has developed expertise in a variety of different hardware/software platforms, including super computing and distributed systems development. Knowledgeable in a variety of legacy and current platforms, Mr. Barnes continues to leverage and enhance his many skills by leading the Professional Services Group at eCube.

Peter Marquez
Sr. Partner Sales and Marketing

Mr. Marquez is a principal at eCube Systems, where he manages product marketing, sales and service delivery. He is also responsible for product strategy and 3rd party relationships. A software industry professional, Mr. Marquez has held leadership roles at Borland Software, Inprise and Tacit Knowledge Systems.

Prior to eCube Systems, Mr. Marquez was a contributing member of the sales management team that successfully launched Tacit Knowledge Systems. Serving as Director of Business Development and Special Projects at Tacit, Peter directed strategic alliances and built relationships with targeted “lighthouse” accounts. Before the successful launch of Tacit, Peter was a senior manager and director with Borland International, reporting to the Vice President US Sales and Client Services. Peter began his career working in institutional marketing with Merrill Lynch Capital Markets after receiving a Bachelors of Science degree from Andrews University .

Mr. Marquez has studied Product and Technology Strategy at MIT Sloan School of Business, is an associate member of the American Bar Association and a member of the Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals.


Robert Doyle
Chief Technology Architect

Mr. Doyle is the chief technology architect for eCube Systems. A computer industry professional, with over thirty years experience across multiple industries and technologies, Mr Doyle holds two Computer Science degrees, an degree in business management

As a system architect and as a project manager have enabled him to design, implement and deliver real-world business solutions using a wide range of service oriented architecture (CORBA, Enterprise Java Beans, Java 2 Enterprise Edition, .NET and SOAP.)

For eCube Systems, Mr. Doyle has served as the lead architect for the development of the NXTware Remote Studio and Server for OpenVMS, HP-UX and HP NonStop. Mr. Doyle has frequently showcased his knowledge as a speaker at a variety symposiums and seminars in Canada and the U.S.

Peter Garbes
Principal Software Engineer

Mr. Garbes is a Senior Software Engineer at eCube Systems, where he serves as a technical consultant and project manager for Web 2.0 development projects. Prior to eCube Systems, Peter spent eight years at Rosetta Biosoftware as the lead quality assurance engineer focused on the large-scale genomics and genetics product lines. Peter started his career supported middleware customers as a support engineer and consultant at Open Environment Corporation, and then at Borland International. He holds Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Chris Chin
Practice Manager
Management Consulting, IT Audit, Governance and Compliance

Chris has over 15 years of experience in management, finance, IT audit, PMO, IT governance and application development . He has successfully applied these skills in the financial services, banking, high technology, biotech, healthcare, education and manufacturing industries. Some of his recent client engagements include management strategy advisory consulting, benchmarking, process improvement and numerous SOX engagements. At a recent advisory engagement, Chris helped a CFO at a major Healthcare company successfully re-structure a group and their $2B budget. Prior to his work as a consultant Chris has worked for Charles Schwab, Robert Stevens and Merrill Lynch.

Chris received his MBA in International Business and Finance from Boston College, a BS in Business Administration in Management Information Systems from Boston University and is a Certified Information Security Manager.

William M. Ulrich
Consulting Advisory

William M. Ulrich has more than 26 years of experience in the information management field. His transformation strategies have been the basis for migration projects worldwide. As author of TSRM, a widely deployed redevelopment methodology, he is viewed as the leading authority on systems transformation within the IT industry. Mr. Ulirich is the founder of Tactical Strategy Group, Inc. (TSG) a management consulting firm specializing in organizational and information transformation strategies.

Mr. Ulrich has advised Fortune 1000 companies, government agencies and high-tech firms on information management, legacy transformation, business continuity planning, organizational change and partner alliances. He has authored three books and hundreds of articles on information strategies, was a senior manager at KPMG, served on the faculty of Northeastern Illinois University and has lectured internationally to thousands of business and IT professionals. Mr. Ulrich is Co-chair of the OMG Architecture-Driven Modernization (ADM) Task Force. Mr. Ulrich's latest book is entitled "Legacy Systems: Transformation Strategies".

Susan Skonetski
Vice President of Relationship Management

Susan brings to eCube 25 years of experience in the software industry, including extended tenure at Hewlett Packard, Compaq and Digital Equipment Corporation. Most recently, Sue served as Manager of Field and Customer Engineering Programs in the HP OpenVMS Software Engineering Group. An integral member of the OpenVMS Deployment Team, Sue was responsible for providing technical advocacy and support to customers worldwide. In her capacity at eCube, Sue facilitates the communication between eCube, it customers, and the OpenVMS community -- which comprises HP OpenVMS field advocates, product management and engineering; OpenVMS partners worldwide; and Connect, the HP user community group. Sue is an active member on comp.os.vms, and HP's user group Connect community. In 2009 she was awarded the HP Ambassadors Spirit Award by her colleagues at Hewlett Packard.
