Code Quality Analysis for an NXTware Eclipse Project

In many cases it is difficult to know how well designed your software application is after a significant number of changes have been implemented. Many times legacy applications weren’t designed to be modified and those changes cause bottlenecks in performance or result in dead or redundant code. NXTware KDM SAAS offers a quick solution for this need by analyzing the code on several different metrics: defects, complexity, complex density, call depth and dangerous calls. The NXTware KDM Code Analysis is delivered in three phases: Analysis, Remediation and Modernization. The first phase is Assessment and the Code Quality Analysis is the first step in that process. The Code Quality Analysis is performed in a secure environment on our servers, delivered by secure ftp and in encrypted compressed format. This way your code is secure while traversing the internet. If a more secure method is necessary, it can be done by encrypting a CD and sending it via a courier. This information is delivered in a Code Analysis Summary document.  

Application/Enterprise Assessment

Application and Enterprise Assessments rely on tool-enabled, analyst-driven examination of systems and related artifacts along with discussions with subject matter experts. Code Quality Analysis reports are restricted to source modules between 100K to 300K lines. Application and architecture representations can be captured and stored in an industry standard meta-model (KDM) for analysis and used as the basis for future remediation and modernization.

First Step

If you are an Eclipse user, please download our Eclipse Plugin and install. You can use Eclipse to organize your project files for analysis and use our plugin to send them via secure FTP for analysis. If you don't use Eclipse, please proceed to the other steps outlined here in our process.

Second Step

If you are not using Eclipse, you will need to compress your files to send them to us for analysis. You wish to encrypt them, please use an encryption key provided for you here: After you have compressed your Eclipse Project files, you will need to upload the zip or tarball file to our Secure FTP area. We will determine the number of lines of code.

After you have uploaded your project files, you will be sent several emails. They will include your quote confirmation, account information and password.

Third Step

After you have purchased your project analysis from our ecommerce site, you will be sent several emails. They include your purchase confirmation and details of the KDM process.
