Houston , TX – June 24, 2010: eCube Systems, LLC, a provider of middleware and interoperability tools, has recently released NXTera 6.0, now with COBOL to .NET interoperability. The enhancement, called NXTera Bridge, enables.NET applications and clients to seamlessly interoperate with legacy applications built in COBOL on any middle-tier platform, including Windows, Linux, Unix and OpenVMS.
Using NXTera Bridge, existing COBOL code may fully participate in the Microsoft .NET cross-language development framework. All without forcing expensive rewrites or complex transformations.
"With NXTera Bridge software developers can dynamic access COBOL programs from .NET," said Kevin Barnes, eCube Systems CEO, "NXTera makes COBOL looks like another .Net service. At the same time, COBOL applications can access .NET resources in any .NET language as it if were a remote COBOL program."NXTera Bridge Benefits
