eCube Systems announces release of NXTera 6.1 with improved support for Java, Fortran and BASIC in its leading high performance RPC middleware
New features -- including an all-Java service broker, enhanced Java, Fortran and BASIC language RPC services -- enable developers to create high-speed distributed SOA applications and to extend legacy applications based on RPC or Entera middleware.
Houston , TX . – Dec 10 : eCube Systems, a leading provider of middleware modernization, integration and management solutions, announced plans to release NXTera™ 6.1 High Performance RPC Middleware in Q1 2012. NXTera 6.1 includes an all JAVA broker with NAT support, JDBC database access servers, a new open security platform and enhanced tools for FORTRAN and BASIC language integration. This release also delivers tools that enrich NXTera’s ability to generate C# and JAVA service provider interfaces for SOA consumers and RPC client stubs.
NXTera’s new open security platform for authentication, authorization and encryption is built on on LDAP and Active Directory. Kerberos, SSL, TLS and other security models can also be implemented with NXTera 6.1. Existing Entera application security will continue to be supported. This new security platform will enable users to easily modernize application security and integrate with contemporary enterprise security models.
“NXTera continues to evolve,” says Kevin Barnes President and CEO of eCube Systems, “as it delivers best-of-breed high performance RPC middleware and extends the capability of legacy Entera applications. Legacy language like Fortran and BASIC can now be used as service providers in SOA, Web service or RPC distributed applications. Allowing companies to save money and create new value from existing IT investments.”
In addition to the new NXTera security features, NXTera 6.1 simplifies legacy to contemporary integration projects with new tools. These include a new Web services debugger, an automated IDL generation tool, and support for IBM COBOL, C#, and FORTRAN native stub generation. NXTera 6.1 is the first version in the Entera family of products to officially support BASIC integration with customized stubs and implementation patterns.
With every new release, NXTera continues to expand its capabilities with new features and improved tooling. NXTera 6.1 delivers improvements to C#, Visual Basic.NET, Java, and Web services connectors for C, COBOL, FORTRAN and BASIC business logic. The generated code can be used in Microsoft Visual Studio or Eclipse to create service interfaces to legacy business logic for use in enterprise, Web and mobile applications.
NXTera 6.1 server runs on and is certified for the latest versions of Linux, Windows 2008, zOS (zLinux,) Solaris, AIX 6.1, HP-UX, and HP OpenVMS. Additionally, NXTera supports both the, IBM and Apache AXIS2 Web services application stacks.
The features described in this release are available immediately to select customer and as part of our consulting engagement solutions. For more information contact eCube Sales at: 866. 493.4224, Ext 3.
