What we'll Cover

NXTware Remote leverages the Eclipse IDE to provide an environment that supports both client and remote server development. NXTware Remote provides all of the functionality of Eclipse across multiple remote operating system platforms. NXTware Remote currently supports, OpenVMS, Linux and HP-UX. In this case, the normal development functions of creation, import, compile, execute and debug will be demonstrated on OpenVMS I64. (Alpha support is also available.)

In this session, we will demonstrate the following functionality:

  1. Create a distributed project on the client workstation
  2. Import a program into the project
  3. Configure a remote host to the distributed project
  4. Create an Eclipse project on remote host
  5. Compile the project on the remote host and return results
  6. Execute the program on the remote host
  7. Run a debug session on the remote host and return results to the workstation
  8. Deploy the remote host application to multiple hosts
  9. Scale up remote applications with NXTware ES.

The Technology

What we'll use

In this demonstration, eCube Systems will demonstrate the functionality of the NXTware Remote server and Plug-in for Eclipse.

Plug-ins for Eclipse 3.2, 3.3 or 3.4 running on client workstation
