NXTera 7.2 now makes it easy for Windows developers to integrate their .NET applications with a modern agile development and Web Services environment.

Houston, Texas. November 18, 2019

eCube Systems, a leading provider of middleware modernization, integration and management solutions, announced the release of NXTera™ 7.2 High Performance RPC Middleware capable of running both client and server applications on the Windows Platform. Entera and NXTera have both supported client applications on Windows from NT, 2000, XP, 7, Vista and 10. With the latest, NXTera 7.2 is now a server application on Windows with naming services through RPCbroker and database access engine JDBC_START. While integration with other platforms is still supported, NXTera can now be solely run on the Windows platform. In addition, with the support for Webservices and enhancements to the broker to support the internet, NXTera applications can now be run on the Cloud. With the addition of Windows Server, NXTera now supports the largest server and client OS platform in the industry. Developers who want to integrate their .NET applications can make now inter-platform service calls between .NET and NXTera via Mono™.

"As more legacy platforms like OpenVMS, Solaris, AIX and HP-UX disappear, developers are turning to Windows to meet their needs for server development and NXTera continues to expand to different platforms", says Kevin Barnes President and CEO of eCube Systems. "Extending the ROI of legacy applications by migrating to more current platforms is key component to helping developers drive IT innovation."

With every new release, NXTera continues to expand its capabilities with new features and improved tooling. In NXTera 7.2 there are improvements to the integration with Eclipse Remote projects that generates C#, Delphi, Visual Basic.NET, Java, or Web services connectors for C, COBOL, FORTRAN and Pascal business logic. The generated code can be used in Microsoft Visual Studio or Eclipse to create service interfaces to legacy business logic for use in enterprise, Web and mobile applications.

NXTera 7.2 servers run on and is certified for these latest versions of: Linux (Suse, Ubuntu and fedora), Windows 2003 and 2008, zOS (zLinux,) Solaris, AIX, HP-UX, IBM AS/400 and HP OpenVMS. NXTera 7.2 clients can run on Windows, Mac and most flavors of linux. Additionally, NXTera supports both the Microsoft, IBM and Apache AXIS2 Web services application stacks.
